In a filing spotted by MacRumors, Apple includes a diagram of a “Head Mounted Device” that looks a lot like a Vision Pro headset. The details included in the filing are still slim, but it lists the upcoming headset under model number A3416 and says it will come with support for Wi-Fi 6, similar to the original Apple Vision Pro. In July, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that Apple could launch a new Vision Pro headset “as early as this year.” It’s rumored to come with a redesigned strap to combat head and neck pain, while code inadvertently shared by Apple indicates that it could have a more powerful M5 processor. In addition to an M5-equipped Vision Pro, Apple is reportedly working on a lighter and cheaper Vision “Air” set to launch in 2027, according to supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The company is also rumored to be working on Ray-Ban Meta-like smart glasses with voice control and gesture recognition. Most Popular
