Remote access is one of the trickiest things to do on a NAS, with so many possible points of failure. You have to be extra vigilant every step of the way, but you may end up with failed transfers, slow loading, and endless frustration. It took me a lot of trial and error to find what was actually not working for me and the apps that have proven to be helpful. These apps have made accessing files, managing backups, and more much smoother, even in instances when I am not physically close to the NAS.
